Our story

Built by clinicians who knew what was missing.

Moriah Healthcare Services exists because families in Kampala kept leaving hospital with discharge summaries and no idea what to do next. Wounds that needed dressing. Medications that needed timing. Patients who needed continuous, attentive care — and households exhausted from providing it alone.

Our directors bring together a rare combination — registered clinical experience at the bedside and proven business acumen — and they pooled it into a single practice with one clear standard: care good enough for our own families.

Today our team includes specially-trained carers alongside doctors, midwives, physiotherapists, a nutritionist and counsellors. Our carers aren’t nurses — we train them ourselves — and Moriah Healthcare Services is registered with the Uganda Nurses & Midwives Council.

Our values

Five words we hire and fail by.

We recruit by them. We promote by them. When a carer falls short of one, we have the difficult conversation — because families notice before we do.

01

Integrity

We do what we said we would do — and what is right when no one is watching.

02

Professionalism

Every visit is delivered to a clinical standard we would accept for our own families.

03

Effective Communication

Plain language. Honest updates. The patient and the family always know what is happening and why.

04

Empathy

We sit before we act. Care begins with listening, not procedure.

05

Dignity

Bathing, dressing, the smallest tasks — we treat every patient as a person, never a case.

Our team

Trained by us. Licensed by the Council.

Our carers aren’t nurses — they’re people we choose for temperament and train ourselves. Moriah Healthcare Services is registered with the Uganda Nurses & Midwives Council, and our wider team includes qualified specialists too:

  • Nutritionist
