About this service
What it actually looks like.
Bedside nursing is our flagship service — built for patients who need continuous, attentive care without leaving home. We rotate trained carers through your home so there is always someone alert, skilled, and present.
Most of our bedside cases come to us straight from hospital discharge — fractures, post-surgical recovery, stroke convalescence, advanced illness. We coordinate with your doctor and pharmacist so the transition is seamless.
What’s included
- Continuous vital signs monitoring
- Wound cleaning and dressing changes
- IV line care and medication administration
- Repositioning every 2 hours (pressure sore prevention)
- Catheter and NG-tube care
- Personal hygiene and bed-bath
- Daily carer notes shared with family
- Coordination with your treating doctor

How we start
From first call to first visit.
First conversation
Rebecca or Diane visit (or call) within 24 hours. Free, no commitment. We learn the patient, the home, the family.
Care plan
We write a plan with you — shift hours, specific tasks, dietary preferences, faith and cultural needs. You approve before anyone starts.
Carer assigned
We share the carer's UNMC credentials and a brief profile before the first shift. You can request a different match.
Care begins
Daily notes, weekly check-in calls, monthly plan review. Adjust shifts up or down as the situation changes.

Questions families ask.
Do we need to provide any equipment?+
If specialist equipment (oxygen, suction machine, hospital bed) is needed, we will tell you in the first visit and help you source or rent it locally.
How are shifts arranged?+
Typical patterns are 12-hour day & night shifts, or 8-hour three-shift rotations. We tailor to what your household can sustain.
What happens if the carer is unwell?+
Our on-call lead carer covers within four hours. You will never be left without care.
